The Incredible Years Autism is a FREE 14-week group programme for parents and caregivers with tamariki (children) aged 2-5 years old on the autism spectrum.
The programme consists of weekly sessions run by experienced Family Workers who are specially trained facilitators and covers topics like:
The Incredible Years Autism programme for parents is driven by each child's developmental abilities and goals, helping caregivers build their parenting skills and confidence.
Over 14 sessions, parents learn to engage and play with their child in ways that encourage emotional self-regulation and support their communication skills.
Parents also learn to build their child's social skills and empathy and help them form positive relationships.
Starts: Thursday 13 August from 10am - 12:30pm
Runs every Thursday from 10am - 12:30pm until 26 Nov (excludes school holidays)
